On Tuesday Marc and James had their four month check up even though they are almost 5 months now. Here are their stats:
Marc:
Weight - 14 lbs 3 oz 50%
Length - 26 inches 70%-90%
Head Circumference - 16 1/4 inches 25%
James:
Weight - 13 lbs 4.5 oz 25%
Length - 25 3/4 inches 75%
Head Circumference - 15 3/4 inches 5%-10%
Their check up went well. As you can see from their statistics, they aren't huge boys, but these numbers don't take into account that they were born 6 1/2 weeks early. The doctor is very pleased with their progress and they don't seem to be behind at this point and she is so impressed with how they are growing and eating. On a side note, James head is a little smaller compared to the rest of his body. The doctor was concerned that his growth plates were already closing so she ordered a X-ray. We got it done on Tuesday and the results came back fine. However, the doctor would like to get a second opinion from a specialist just to be sure. We have an appointment at the end of the month with the specialist and hopefully everything will be fine. Despite this, Billy and I feel very lucky to have healthy boys that are growing up way too quickly. We love them!

Fourth of July Weekend
Monday we celebrated the 4th of July. We spent the day swimming and enjoying family at the Cunningham's house. It was the first time that Marc had been swimming (James went two days before at Rich and Julie's house while Marc was sleeping). The boys loved the pool. It will be a short few years before we have them in swimming lessons! :)

On the Move!
This week James has discovered how to move himself around the floor. No, he is not crawling yet, but when he is on his back on the floor, he uses his legs to push himself around on his back. It is so cute to see him go and it is amazing how quickly he can move all around.
This is the position that James and Marc started. (James is on the left and Marc is on the right)

This was funny because at one point James head was against the wall by the swing leg and he some how get himself unstuck and continued to move around.
Here was the ending position. I decided that I should probably get him off the cold tile. As you can see, Marc moved a little too, but James definitely moved further!
After I feed the boys, I often leave them on the recliner with it still reclined. They are so cute together. They have started "talking" to one another and it is so cute!
Here is a precious close up of James. Look at how he is looking at his brother...so cute!
Here is a close up of Marc...I think he is just looking at the wall...nothing too interesting! :)
I thought this was an absolutely cute picture of James...he fell asleep on the floor with the cutest smile on his face. I love the dimple...he gets that from me! :)
In addition to the scooting around the floor, James can roll from his back to his tummy. He did it for the first time on Tuesday morning this week. He hasn't rolled from his tummy to his back yet. Marc is the pro at going from his tummy to his back, but hasn't figured out going from his back to his tummy.
